We are proud to be a hosting venue for British eventing “BE GO 90” – entries to be made via the British Eventing website directly. Led by be accredited coach Eloise Mayhead. Sessions found on the BE site.

Halloween Show – Saturday 26th October

10am start
Rosettes and fun prizes to all winners and runners up!

Class 1 – Walk and Trot Test B

Class 2 – Preliminary 10
All entries in advance. Warm up on surface. Dressage attire preferred however fancy dress also encouraged! Callers are allowed. No combination to have won a dressage competition to enter Class 1.
All dressage will run on a surface (including warm up). Dressage is self stewarding and failure to call for your times Thursday before 6-9pm (07746 815 796) may result in you forfeiting your entry!

Class 3 – FANCY DRESS – HALLOWEEN THEMED!
PRIZE TO THE WINNER!
Class starts at 11.30 am!
The Spookier the better!!!!!!!

Class 4 – “Pass the broom stick”
Pairs jumping 2′ 3″! Riders to pass the broomstick to one another after completing a short course. Fastest combination wins.

Class 5 – “The witch and her Cat”
Horse and hound! Rider jumps a small course passing the broom stick to the dog handler. Jumps approx 2ft

Class 6 – “Pumpkin Jumping”
Similar to top score. Jump as many jumps as you can in 60 seconds to get as many points as possible. The more technical the jump the higher the points!

Class 7 – “Fill the cauldron”
In pairs – jump a fence and collect the object pop it back in the cauldron where your partner is waiting before they go to collect theirs. Winners have the most objects in the cauldron. A range of fences (big and small)

Class 8 – “Devils Bars”
3 bar jumping – 3 jumps in a row that go up and up! All three jumps must be cleared!

Class 9 – “Spook yourself”
Chase me Charlie! The jump goes up and up! Last one in jumps the biggest jump!

Cross country course hire this Saturday

Gasston Stables is delighted to announce after our recent fundraising ball and quiz night we have now purchased a large range of cross country fences and have added to our extensive show jump range some new fences! Keep checking the website for details on forthcoming clinics using our new jumps!!!!!!

Grass Arena available for hire

Grass Arena available for hire with a full course of show jumps set up on the following dates:

  • Monday 3rd September 2-5pm
  • Saturday 8th September 9-12 noon
  • Saturday 22nd September 9-12 noon
  • Monday 1st October 2-5pm

Christmas Fun Show schedule -Sunday 18/12/2011

Refreshment stand with Christmas Cakes and Drinks

Entries on the day only. £8 per class, Classes 3, 5 and 6 are £10 per pair. First class starts at 11am.

Class 1: Santa’s Obstacle course (may be led) walk or trot only
Surprise race which will involve a couple of obstacles which can be tackled at any speed! An example will be demonstrated at 11am! Will run heats and then a final if sufficient numbers!

Class 2: Pony/Horse judge would most like to take home with them!
Open to any horse/rider – ridden/in hand/or led

Class 3: Horse and Hound
Horse jumps a course then passes Santa hat to dog handler which must be on your head before you go! Fatest combination wins

Class 4: Reindeer’s Leap
Chase me Charlie (with a twist) each time you get through to the next round a new santa themed obstacle will be added under the fence1

Class 5: Topscore
60 seconds to jump as many fences as you like collecting the maximum amount of points along the way.

Class 6: Santa’s Sleigh Ride
In pairs follow the numbered course (some jumps will be small, some will be bigger) and along the way there will be presents for you to collect! The pair that collects the most presents after 60 seconds in their santa sack will win! More details on the day!
